HOW DO I JOIN THE TEAM?
DO I HAVE TO FUNDRAISE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 5K?
While fundraising is encouraged, it’s completely optional. The fundraising goal is $300, yet you are not obligated to meet it—there’s no penalty if you don’t. Your participation, whether through volunteering or racing on race day, plays a crucial role in raising awareness about Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles and our commitment to saving the dogs. Every bit of effort helps us make a difference!
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MESSAGE BELOW WILL APPEAR AS A BORDER ON YOUR REGISTRATION PAGE. WHILE WE ARE UNABLE TO REMOVE IT, REST ASSURED THAT WE WILL NOT CHARGE ANY UNMET DIFFERENCE WHEN FUNDRAISING ENDS. I WANT TO VOLUNTEER AND HELP FUNDRAISE BUT DON’T WANT TO RUN IN THE 5K. HOW DO I REGISTER?
If you’d like to volunteer and fundraise we’d love to have you! There is no entry fee and you’ll still get the Run For Westside Shepherds Team T-Shirt. To sign up, please email Julia via the CONTACT button at top right and she’ll get you the details within 48 hours. Thank you for your support!
CAN I BRING MY DOG WITH ME IF I’M RUNNING THE RACE?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the course per the rules set by the race organizers. However, if you have someone who will be spectating and not running, they’re welcome to have your dog with them. As for the dogs still pending adoption, none will be present at the location. The crowd size can be overwhelming, and we can’t predict how they might react in such an environment.
